COVID-19 UPDATES & PROTOCOLS

It’s no surprise to anyone that 2020 has thrown a curve ball in many peoples travel plans. Trying to keep up with where you can go and the regulations upon arrival can be overwhelming and, frankly, a little discouraging. After months of pretty strict rules, Hawaii has slowly eased up their restrictions making it possible for people to come back to the Aloha State. Here’s a quick summary on some of the new Covid-19 procedures, but definitely check the Hawaii Covid website for the most accurate and up-to-date information before you travel.

  • If travelers participate in FDA-approved NNAT pre-travel testing, they will not have to mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival.

  • To participate in pre-travel testing all adults 18+ in age must create an online account and register with the state of Hawaii. Then, each traveler will be required to get tested no more than 72 hours before the flight’s departure time. Once the results are back, they must then upload the negative test results to their online account.

  • Once you’ve landed in Hawaii, plan for extra time for additional screening including temperature checks and filling out mandatory health forms.

  • Not all islands follow the same regulations, and the image below can assist in outlining where you can go, as well as what you need in order to access the island.
