Best time to visit:

Utah is one of the few places that is truly magical year-round. With 4 distinct seasons, the time of year that you should travel is solely dependent on the experience that you are looking to have.

High-Season: June to August, is the best time for alpine hiking and water sports. These months are when the crowds are the largest as they are the optimal timeframes for visiting national parks.

Shoulder Season: In the dead summer, Utah’s climate can get dangerously hot, especially in the southern half of the state. However, from March to May, the weather is perfect for hiking! We recommend the shoulder seasons if you plan to hike in the southern half of the state.

Low Season: Many say the low season is the best time to visit Utah due to lower prices, crowds, and extreme weather being at its lowest. If you are a budget traveler, September through November are the best months for you.

Ski Season: December through February is when ski season runs in Northern Utah. Getting an average of 500 inches of the fluffiest and driest snow per year, makes Utah one of the best spots to ski in the United States.
