Music Makes The World Go ‘Round

I’ve been thinking a lot lately how much music really inspires me. Whether it’s on my way to work, road tripping home to South Florida, or while I’m just hanging out writing, music truly gets me through. You know when you’re getting ready for that night out with friends? Or when you’re waking up on a Sunday morning, getting ready to accomplish the day? And you know how you have that certain Spotify or Pandora playlist that you put on to pump you up? Ok, good, because that’s exactly where I’m going with this.

Currently playing in the background: Fool You’ve Landed by Mumford & Sons -in case you didn’t know yet, they’re my favorite  band.

As I sit here writing this I have my pup laying with me to my left (I may or may not have given her a belly scratch to get her to stay) and my empty chai latte to my right. The windows are open, which means Florida’s two-day Fall is almost over, and I’m day-dreaming about where I’m going to jet off to next.

I’m not sure about y’all, but I’m a little bit of a music bug (like seriously, I practically have a life soundtrack at all times), so I just made a playlist of my favorites especially for our devoted readers and fellow travel-lovers. These are some of my travel go-to’s, especially when I’m hanging in the airport on my layovers or just before touch down in the plane.

I call it my “Happy-Go-Travel” playlist! I wanted to share these, not only just for listening, but to let them reach you and affect you on a cellular level (isn’t that what music does?!). Every time I hear one of these songs it takes me back to a specific time, some even during my adventures. I’ve even collected some suggestions from my friend for you guys to add to your playlists…so dig in!

P.S. I bolded some of the ones I find myself listening to on repeat!!

For some of us a song means everything. It takes us back to our first concert, that first dance, that festival where we had our first kiss, or even the beyond insanely-fun road trip. Music is a very special thing. It has its own language and brings all people together no matter where you are in the world. It’s definitely brought me some of my closest friends and topped off nearly every memory.

To all my music junkies- keep jammin’ and keep on dancing everywhere you go! Let’s be those weirdos people stare at by belting it out and dancing near the baggage carousel (trust me, it’s the best.)

Follow the adventure!
