TOP FIVE LIVE

Thing to do to avoid feeling awful after a long flight

The absolute worst thing is prepping for an amazing trip only to get off of a long flight and lose a day at your destination because you are suffering from the infamous “post-flight hangover”. Check out some of our travel tricks to help you step off the plane feeling refreshed and ready to enjoy your vacation!

  1. Hydrate the week before. It is very important to hydrate as much as possible before any flight, but especially on long flights! Airplanes suck moisture out of the air when flying at that altitude… including your body and skin. So be sure to drink as much water as possible leading up to the flight and save the alcohol for your arrival celebrations!

  2. Chug a coconut water the morning of your flight. Again, this tip goes back to hydration because that recirculated air is no joke! Coconut water is the perfect beverage for restoring hydration and replenishing electrolytes.

  3. Hand Cream. Hydrating is super important – especially for your skin! If you are a plane reader, hand cream is especially important because I think we can all agree that cracked hands are not something you want to worry about during your vacation!

  4. R+F Ultra Hydrating Body Cream. All Rodan and Fields stuff works great, but this body cream is a game changer! It is so good to incorporate a great moisturizing regime into your routine the week before a flight to prepare your skin as much as possible.

  5. Sephora’s Pomegranate Sheet Mask. This mask is a great way to give your skin that dewy, refreshed glow. It is super hydrating, smells amazing, and easy to slip into your bag/carry on for a little mid-trip pick-me-up!
