Our owner, recently returned from a FAM trip to Morocco where she was able to stay at the stunning Kasbah Tamadot, a luxury 5 -start hotel featuring incredible views of the Atlas Mountains. Rooms here range from opulent suites to berber-style tents, and each one is designed with colorful fabrics that are sure to impress. Something that you may not know is that this hotel is owned and operated by Sir Richard Branson, and Virgin Limited Edition.
Why I Went:
I was invited to attend a magical 9-day FAM trip to Morocco, with other Travel Designers from all over the United States, through Index Select. I was able to stay at many stunning properties, including the infamous Kasbah Tamadot. I had always wanted to see Morocco, and what a better way, than through this trip.
What I Loved:
What is not to love? Everything about this stay was magical. This property is breathtaking due to the fact that it is set in the Atlas Mountains. The location is perfect for day trips and is easily accessible to the airport, being within a 1 hour drive. Kasbah has a great bar, pool, garden, and a delicious restaurant. Something unique and awesome was that we had a Magician at dinner, and he was a good Magician at that. Something to note is that since this is set high in the mountains, I recommend staying very hydrated to avoid any elevation sickness.. yes I dabbled in this for an evening.
What I Ate:
Kasbah Tamadot has an intimate fireside bar and a stunning rooftop dining space, all with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. The restaurant onsite, Kanoun, offers delicious local and international cuisine that is sure to excite your taste buds… mine were overjoyed! The food marries wonderful flavors and produce, and is served along side a stunning wine selection. Something fun, is that during your stay, dinner will be served in a variety of settings and locations. You can set up a private dining experience virtually anywhere on the property.
How I Slept:
The room selection here is incredible… I mean you really can’t go wrong. They have rooms ranging from Berber Tents (pictured to the right) to multi-bedroom suites, making this a good destination for both large and small groups. The Berber Tents are unlike any tent you will ever stay in. They are fully furnished and LUXURIOUS. Some Berber tents even have their own private plunge pools. Every room is individually decorated using beautiful Moroccan furniture and antiques. Designer, Luciano, brought individual pieces in from all over the world to create all 28 stunning rooms and 10 luxury tents.
